Grade 1-12 students will hone their problem-solving skills by assembling, testing, flying and racing drones in a competition sponsored by the OYF of Detroit.

The OYF Drone Competition has three levels that test the young pilot’s skills through a series of flying tasks. The competition will prepare students from across Detroit to become world-class problem solvers as they wield their flying robots through a cleverly designed obstacle course.

The competition will have 3 categories: Assembly, Maneuver and a Time Course Race. A DROMIA SYNC Drone as sold in stores will be used. No modifications will be accepted. Drones will be provided. The top three winners get to take the drone home in addition to a monetary prize.
